Mark Hensley of Hensley Thermodynamics, maker of chillers for water jet cutters
CEO and Founder

Seeing the need for true waterjet chillers for the waterjet market, Mark opened Hensley Thermodynamics in 2010 and started building waterjet chillers for fellow waterjet owners.

MARK HENSLEY

Mark Hensley began his technical career in nuclear physics.

Mark was trained by the Navy in Nuclear Physics and Heat Transfer and is the CEO and Founder of Hensley Thermodynamics. His is our main inventor and head engineer.

Using the knowledge gained in the Navy, Mark opened a major HVAC company attending HVAC schools and follow-on training to make him an expert in his field. Mark successfully ran his HVAC company for over 30 years, and when the time was right, he sold the company.

Finding that he had “spare time” on his hands, Mark purchased a waterjet machine in 2010 and started a machining services business.

This is when Mark discovered that waterjet companies were selling process chillers to their customers. Knowing that process chillers are naturally inefficient and expensive to run, Mark’s inventive and engineering mind thought there had to be a better solution.

Instead of buying the recommended processes chiller for his new waterjet, he built his own highly efficient chiller. Seeing the need for true waterjet chillers for the waterjet market, Mark opened Hensley Thermodynamics in 2010 and started building waterjet chillers for fellow waterjet owners.
